James Hardie® Siding Trim Options

There are two thickness options—the 4/4 Trim and the 5/4 Trim.

Both options offer the same level of durability and low maintenance; however, the 5/4 creates a deeper contrast between the trim and siding since the 5/4 trim is 1/4" thicker.

4/4 Trim

This is the most commonly used trim and it is ¾” thick.

4/4 Rustic Trim: This trim is perfect for anyone looking for wood-like texture with a vintage appeal. This trim is also unmatched in regards to durability and variety. It’s resistant to rot and warping. The trim also comes in a variety of colors or primed for paint.

4/4 Smooth Trim: Select this trim if you love trim simplicity that will never go out of style. This trim also comes in a variety of colors or primed for paint.

5/4 Trim

This trim is a quarter of an inch thicker than the above trim. This ¼” adds a deeper contrast between the trim and the siding.

5/4 Rustic trim: This trim features a raised wood-like texture. However, unlike wood, it is rot and warp-resistant. The rustic nature is bound to make a statement that lasts for generations.

5/4 Smooth Trim: This siding trim is crisp-looking with the power to make any home sleeker. The 5/4 also has the ability to tie your home's color palette together.

V. Rustic Grain Batten Boards

This siding features a rustic grain finish that creates a traditional board and batten looking trim.

VI. Smooth Batten Boards

This siding trim offers the same look as the rustic grain batten board (traditional board and batten looking trim) with an added contemporary twist. It also results in a more brilliant outcome.
