Preview Construction has been working with homeowners to transform their homes for decades. We take your design and make it function practically. Your job is to share your vision. Our job is to bring it to life.
Preview Construction > Residential > Interior Remodeling
Your home is your biggest investment. It’s where you raise your kids, host your friends, and relax after work. Remodeling can interrupt all of that. Suddenly, you’re cooking dinners for the family out of the laundry room, dealing with strangers in your space every day, or moving out for periods to accommodate the build.
Even a simple remodel can take months, disrupt your schedule, and throw your once calm home into a perpetual state of construction chaos. You need a team who can help control that chaos.
Of course, you need someone with the technical expertise to complete the project, but when it comes to complicated remodels, there are many moving parts. You also need a team who can stay organized and communicate throughout the build. You need an all-encompassing project process that covers technical skills, practical experience, and industry expertise.
We know that having scheduled meetings, sticking to the proper sequence, and following each step in order keeps a job from spiraling. We can’t control lead times for products or mistakes that will happen, but we can help make them smoother by having a proven construction process.
You’ve probably been planning your remodel for a while now. Searching up photos of your dream kitchen's cabinets, countertops, and flooring. For you, that’s the fun part.
For us, the fun part is taking that design and working through it practically. We’re obsessed with the science of building. How will this space perform? How does it function together? Your job is to dream up the design; our job is to execute it in a way that works. That’s what we mean by “built the right way.”
Preview Construction has been in business since 1991. While we pivoted most of our business to specialize in fiber cement siding, windows, and doors around 2014, we started as home builders.
In the decades we’ve been operating, we’ve seen the demand for good quality, reliable interior work grow. We’ve walked jobs and seen what happens when builders choose aesthetics over function and lack the fundamental knowledge to organize a job properly.
We always emphasize sequence, order, process, and communication with our clients because we’ve seen firsthand what can happen to a job where the big picture organization doesn’t run well.
Working as builders and warranty managers for large residential homebuilders and a construction company (something we did before Preview) gave us a unique opportunity to see how a build's small details can have significant repercussions years later. Even if it looks perfect when the remodel is complete, how a particular feature is installed or what order elements are installed in can cause problems years later.
We know what it takes to build a home the right way and bring the knowledge to every project.
“From start to finish, Preview Construction provided such a high level of quality service that it makes me proud of their finished product."
“I greatly appreciated Preview Construction's sales approach, starting with a willingness to hear my vision followed by some education and direction on what is possible and best for this project."
“If you are looking for great communication, honesty, integrity, and someone who can produce an amazing finished product while utilizing work crews that are kind, respectful, and skilled in their trade, you need to look no further."
We would love to guarantee that your project will go off without a single delay or mistake, but that’s not realistic. Unfortunately, even on our smoothest projects, sometimes things go wrong.
Our job as project managers is to ensure that the delays are accounted for and any repairs are made quickly. That’s why we help you make all your selections before we start, set scheduled meetings, and why we’re at your house, double-checking our crew’s work.
Things can go wrong on a job site. We ask that you don’t judge us for what goes wrong; judge us by how we step up and fix it for you.
You do your research, and find a company that looks like perfect for your project. They come out and do a quote. You’re impressed with their approach and can’t wait to get started.
But weeks go by, and you still haven’t received a follow-up. They aren’t responding to your emails, and you aren’t sure if they still want to come and do the job.
You’re back at square one.
You need a Remodeler who:
We’re big believers in the Golden Rule. We’ve got families, kids, and homes too. Our team knows how important it is to do our highest quality work and respect your property.
We’ve worked a lot of jobs in the construction industry, but home building is where we started. After decades of practical experience, we have the expertise to manage even the most complicated remodel.
We hold our team to the same high standards we set for ourselves. Every contractor we hire or project manager we train are experienced professionals that we trust putting our name behind.
1
After scheduling your initial meeting, we’ll arrive to do a walkthrough of the space. This is our chance to meet each other and decide if we are a good fit for your job. Most remodels take months or longer, and we need to ensure that we’re all excited to work together for that long.
We’ll ask you questions about your vision, spend time talking through your options, and collect all the information we need to start creating a quote.
2
Once we know what you’re looking for and decide that we’re a good fit for each other, we start building a comprehensive quote. This will include any professional design or engineering work and cover everything we need for your remodel.
The quote process can take longer than some homeowners expect. It depends on the scope and complexity of your remodel or addition.
3
If you decide to contract with Preview Construction, the next step will be making your design selections. We ask our clients to finalize their design choices before we start building. Changes can affect the schedule and budget of a remodel. Even minor updates can snowball into biggest changes that can impact the schedule and budget of a project.
Having everything picked out upfront helps us better predict lead times, follow proper building sequence, and prevent costly changes.
4
Once we have an approved scope of work, and all your selections have been made, we can start construction. We’ll have a clear timeline, sequence of events, and pre-scheduled meetings. Upper Management is on-site weekly on every build, providing on-site management to our team.
We were trained to be good communicators, so throughout this process, we’ll be in touch with you and our team to ensure everything moves smoothly.
5
While we specialize in turn-key remodels and construction, we want to ensure you have everything you need even after we’re gone. Once the job is done, we provide you with a package that includes any warranty, insurance, and contact information for the entire project.
While we don’t want to turn away work, we’re particular with the homeowners we work with. We want to ensure that we can devote our full attention to every project, so we only take on so many remodels at a time.
You know what you want from your space. You’re clear on what you’re looking for and are looking for someone who can make it happen.
Of course, you want your space to look nice and fit in with the design and aesthetic of your home, but it also has to function. You value functionality just as much as design.
You don’t have time to spend at home making sure every single thing is getting done. You need a team you can trust to run the job while you’re at work.
You’re not looking for a quick, cheap home builder to remodel your kitchen. You want someone who knows what to watch out for and makes decisions based on their experience.
Knowing who your main point of contact is, when check-in meetings will be, and the order of steps along the way makes you feel comfortable and confident with your remodel.
If you’re ready to start your home remodel process and want us for the job — the first step is for us to meet. This is a no-pressure meeting. We’ll walk through your space, hear your plans and vision, and help you bring it to life.
